The snow's come in

as you can see, the snow has really come in now and this is making riding spotty. I got in 4.5 hours saturday and it was 60 and sunny, although very windy. woke up sunday (which part of SUNday did i miss here) to three inches in the valley and a few feet in the canyons. i kinda messed around, not wanting to go out in the snow, when i decided there was something i could do about it: go Skate Skiing!
I actually had a great time, it was nice and peaceful out, i got in a killer workout, and it was all at 9000 feet! needless to say, i was hammered, and immediately came home for a nap. I got up and watched MSR, and then got on the rollers for a while.
Monday dawned similar, so i didn't hesitate to go up and skate again. I skated every trail they had in an hour, and then did circuits until my legs fell off. i couldn't hold my legs still to pry off my boots, they were shaking from fatigue. another great day, and the snow was way better, making it fast and fun.
I definately have found a new outlet for my cross training, something new and wholeheartedly enjoyable. it is such fun to get your groove on just swishing back and forth, fine tuning technique (which i still need a lot of work on) and just going hard.
I've got one more ride today, and then it's off to the airport and back to California. I wanted to send out a big thanks to First Endurance, these guys are much more then just good sponsors, but good friends as well. i have had a worndeful time in SLC with great training, i've met a bunch of cool people, and i can't wait to come back!
Cheers, BJM
